Spring 2020 newsletter

Welcome to the Spring 2020 edition of our newsletter.

What we have been upto!

So far this term we have enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year we made lanterns, shared books and talked about how some of our children visited Newcastle and followed the dragon in the festival. We then had our own tasting session on the Monday after. National Story telling Week was early February we done what we like to do best share stories and visit the library. On Valentines day we made cards for our special families and decorated biscuit. Then Shrove Tuesday arrived we made our own in the tuff tray! We had so much fun especially with the flour. We also had pancakes at snack time with yummy fruit.

Well Done Molly

Molly completed her Level 3 in Childcare and finished her apprenticeship, gaining a full time position at Little Cygnets.

Chloe's baby shower

Chloe's baby shower went down well, our children had fun taking part in games, role play baby clinic and much more.

Handa's Surprise

Following children's interests and after reading Handa's Surprise in nursery some of our children visited our local fruit shop to buy and choose their own fruit. So much learning took place, scanning the items we bought, then helping pack the bags and paying for our items using real money. We love being out and about in our local community.

Darcy's Dream

We recently supported this fabulous charity, close to our hearts. It was lovely to see the family behind the charity get the recognition and support they deserve by being gifted a house on Saturday Night Take Away. Darcy's Dream is a North East based charity supporting newly bereaved families and siblings.
